A variety of Engineering Challenge Camps are being offered at WVU's Statler College of Engineering this summer. This week, students are taking part in 'Engineering in Coding'.
"So really I think, in the future anyway, that a lot of people will at least be able to have to know some kind of coding, so having this foundation to get them to start to think in that direction is definitely pivotal and it might set them apart from their peers," said Alexa Anderson, counselor.
They were walked through an introduction to programming with 'Lego Mindstorms'. This is a software-hardware produced by Lego for the development of programmable robots.
