Global giant takes major stake in modular construction firm

A global business based in South Korea has taken a significant shareholding in a modular construction firm in the West Midlands. Elements Europe, which has its main manufacturing base in Telford and another in London, has agreed the deal with GS Engineering & Construction. Through its investment in Elements Europe, GS E&C has said it is committed to enabling expansion and rapid scaling up of its existing capacity. Element Europe predominantly works in the hospitality, education, healthcare, residential, defence and private rented sectors and has a 200,000 sq ft base in Telford. Yoon-Hong Huh, president of GS E&C, said: We are excited to invest into Elements Europe, they have 15 years of experience and a track record of delivery. Added to that, they have built a successful platform and invested heavily into the development of their products, technology, design processes and people in order to support rapid expansion plans.
