Dewberry, Reign Maker are Bridging Drones, Engineering and Bridges

Its drones may fly high or swim below the water’s surface, but a New York City tech startup now wants to get in on the ground floor of new opportunities for infrastructure repair, under a new partnership with a major design firm.
Reign Maker, a drone operator, and data collection firm, announced in January its new link with Dewberry, to connect its unmanned aircraft system (UAS) chops with the new partner's expertise in geospatial engineering and mapping.
Reign Maker says it aims to expand its services in bridge repair and inspection of underwater concrete structures for agencies in the tri-state area.
“For infrastructure needs, drones are a great thing for all of us,” Reign Maker founder Jes Chusid says.
It’s the first UAS partnership for Virginia-based Dewberry. “A pilot project, no pun intended,” John Boulé, the company’s New York City branch manager and senior vice president, says of the drone program.
