Amazon Blogs about Robots on Labor Day Weekend

Amazon wants to set the record straight about its use of robots, publishing a post titled, “5 facts to know about Amazon Robotics.” Included as one of its facts: “Robots do not replace employees.”
The timing of its post struck us as a bit peculiar, coming over the US Labor Day weekend that celebrates workers, though it was posted on the Amazon EU blog.
The company explained, “Since the launch of Amazon Robotics at our fulfillment centers in 2012, we’ve created around 300,000 jobs worldwide at Amazon. The smart systems support our employees in their tasks. We continue to invest in new logistics centers and jobs.”
