Will Engineering 4.0 look anything like traditional Engineering?

March 7, 2015

Will traditional engineering be the same in 10 years? 20 years? Will the protractor still be used in schools? What happened to the Slide Rule? (Does anyone under 30 know what a Slide Rule is?). Of course IoT is mentioned, but will we even use that term as the practice of having “aware” devices or clothing and objects that communicate data becomes ubiquitous?
