Modern construction projects are often challenged by delays and other time-related uncertainties. Delays are often caused by poor communication, ambiguous requirements, and regular misunderstandings in the industry (Forbes and Ahmed 2011, Cremona 2011). Collaboration problems are commonly identified as one of the main factors affecting the low productivity and ineffectiveness in construction industry. Due to an increasing complexity of the projects, establishing more
integrated approaches is required in construction design (Codinhoto and Formoso 2005).

Where Do America’s Mechanical Engineers Work?
