Tetra Tech, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTEK), a leading provider of high-end consulting and engineering services, is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement with RPS Group plc (“RPS Group”) on the terms of an all-cash acquisition of RPS Group for 222 pence per share (the “Acquisition”). The Acquisition has been unanimously recommended by the Board of Directors of RPS Group.

The combined 26,000 associates of the RPS Group and Tetra Tech will establish a premier global consultancy in water, environment, sustainable infrastructure, and energy transformation. The RPS Group employs 5,000 associates in Europe, the United Kingdom, Asia Pacific, and North America, delivering high-end solutions especially in energy transformation, water, and program management for government and commercial clients. Tetra Tech is a global high-end consultancy with #1 rankings in both water and environmental management as published in Engineering News-Record. Its 21,000 associates are technical experts in delivering more than 70,000 projects per year around the world.

Petra Acquires Trenchless Tunneling Company Zilper to Enable Utility Undergrounding Through any Nightmare Geology

Petra, the first company capable of undergrounding critical utility infrastructure from difficult hard rock to soft ground geologies, announced the acquisition of Zilper Trenchless, a pioneer in the trenchless technology space. Zilper Trenchless machines uniquely install critical utility infrastructure through nightmare geologies such as flowing sands, cobbles, and high water table environments. The vast majority of the world’s electric, water, and sewer utilities were not designed to withstand the storms, extreme heat, and drought brought on by climate change and rapid population growth. Above-ground power lines have caused thousands of wildfires in drought prone areas and blackouts during hurricanes. In coastal areas, increased flooding and sea level rise cause sewage to leach into waterways. There is a growing demand by municipalities to expand underground utilities, but in many populated areas with hard and soft ground nightmare geologies, conventional technology has difficulty boring through flowing sand, high water table content, and cobbles. Metro Edge Development Partners Announces Team to Design, Build, and Operate World-Class Data Center in the IMD

Metro Edge Development Partners, a commercial real estate development firm and minority business enterprise (MBE), announced it has finalized agreements with Corgan, Clune Construction, Power Construction, and Ujamaa Construction to design and build its state-of-the-art data center in the Illinois Medical District (IMD). They join T5 Data Centers as the team that will design, construct, and operate the new data center. “Metro Edge was founded as a firm focused on high-impact, technology-driven developments that have a positive impact on the market and the local community, We are thrilled to have best-in-class partners like Corgan, Clune, Power, and Ujamaa working with us to design and construct this facility.
