Canvas Announced the Launch of Innovative Level 4 Targeted Spray System

construction robotics
Canvas, a construction robotics firm that is inventing new ways to create the future, has announced the introduction of its Level 4 Targeted Spray system. This new feature allows Canvas partners to achieve new levels of performance for clients, building on the revolutionary debut of the Canvas finishing machine. In a time of severe labor shortages, unparalleled building demand, and soaring building costs, Level 4 Targeted Spray makes drywall finishing safer and more predictable than ever before, according to feedback from major clients.

Webcor, DPR Construction, Swinerton, Nevell Group Inc., KHS&S, Daley's Drywall & Taping, Inc., and California Drywall are among the seven industry-leading technical contractors that have joined Canvas' Innovation Partner Program, which was launched in December 2021. These industry stewards have proved their commitment to bringing the drywall industry ahead, and Canvas has chosen them to play a more active role in improving the results for their employees and projects. Crews from these clients and partners have been trained on the Canvas system and are now able to run equipment on their own.

Their experience operating Canvas machines and providing unmatched performance for their clients has provided these partners with yet another avenue to bring excellent value to their projects and advance the industry. Level 4 Targeted Spray arose from this demand, when partners expressed a wish for the Canvas worker-controlled machine to spray both a Level 5 finish, which covers the entire wall before sanding, and a Level 4 finish, which just covers the drywall seams.

We started by inventing new processes for drywall with our worker-operated machines and level 5 process, but our goal is to provide ongoing solutions for every aspect of our customers' needs. Kevin further shared, "L4TS is a watershed moment for Canvas because it represents a major leap in capability for Canvas Certified Finishers, but also the success of our Innovation Partner Program and our ability to drive the industry forward together. We're proud to listen to our customer's feedback and deliver solutions that further improve drywall finishing."

Kevin Albert, Canvas CEO

The new L4TS method not only maintains the machine's safety and quality, but also allows Canvas partners to utilize it on a wider range of applications. L4TS allows contractors to offer their clients additional choice in project finish levels by spraying only the seams, lowering cycle times, and thereby improving timelines.
