Competition among established OEMs and start-ups is at a fever pitch as the race to design and develop a fully electric vehicle that meets both customer and regulatory demands continues. The heavy equipment industry, from agricultural to construction, are in the same position. Stringent regulations to reduce or remove pollutant levels and emissions, and customer demand for lower total cost of ownership and customization are causing a shift to bring electrified heavy equipment to market.

But the United States lags behind other nations, with only 2.8 beds per thousand people compared to 4.3 in China and 12.8 in South Korea. The sheer pace of the outbreak raises the question of how we can expand our healthcare infrastructure and do so at speed. When China put up a hospital in just ten days, many people asked if the same would also be possible here in the U.S.

This year’s theme is Each for Equal, highlighting the message that an equal world is an enabled world. One area of focus within this theme is creating inclusive workplaces where women can thrive. Nowhere is this drive more important than within the construction industry.
